@NeoNacho@mastodon.social it had a rushed final season, written by different authors with a noticeably different tone and style than the rest of the show. I think that annoyed many people who otherwise liked the premise of the ending (which I'll admit I didn't)

@nicklockwood@mastodon.social Sure, there were certainly other factors. My theory here is that sticking to a safe premise is the easiest and cheapest thing for studios to control.
