I can't remember where I read it, but I saw a model that described allistic communication priorities as social context > emotional context > information, whereas with autistics it's the other way around. Sounds consistent with what you are saying.

@murdoc@autistics.life I would believe it. There really isn’t a lot of data about it, though, as far as I’m aware. Most of the studies I’ve seen seem to treat autism as a disorder to be treated rather than a cognitive difference to be understood.
