anyway, one of the marxist economics books i have called The Enigma of Capital introduced me to the concept of creative destruction, where a liberal market will continuously destroy existing, functional things and spaces in order to remake them to justify inflation and capital growth
and honestly this whole ai boom basically just feels like the application of creative destruction to compute instead of goods or land. we have to devalue existing compute and put some concept of novelty on destroying it so that we can justify paying for more software, hardware, data centers, employees to labor therein, etc. all to justify compound growth
