I do no like vim's hl to move left/right and re-bound it to io. So, I have jkio instead of jkhl. Naturally, that also gives up to move to the beginning/end of line, so that uiop are all about moving horizontally. Freeing up l also allow it to be bound to scrolling. For editing, I use M-, not C-. But my editing needs are mostly about moving things around (like Org hierarchy), not deleting.
