Not gonna lie, the frosty look kinda looks cool (literally) and futuristic. Also makes it look a lot more distinguishable from myriad of other Google products because the old logos all used like 6 colors (which is understandable because ruby Google had 6 letters and colors) and they all look the same especially when I'm not paying attention. Using less colors halves the strain for my head. I bet this makes it easier for those with bad eyesight too. For once, I actually believe this is a good decision especially accessibility-wise.
