@StarkRG@myside-yourside.net I always say at interviews that I am far less interested in firefighting than fire prevention. Employers love that, usually while also being visibly on fire.

@nonehitwonder@tenforward.social One thing pretty much everyone in upper management seems to have forgotten is that redundancy is *not* an efficiency problem. Nor, for that matter, is employees having the odd period of inactivity (which is just another type of redundancy, I guess). Redundancy is how you account for the fact that humans can't actually predict the future. Nor, for that matter, can AI (though it does put on a good show, and the non-LLM kinds are probably as close as we'll get).
