@nick@bath.social in a similar boat here. i've been thinking about developing a diy repair/maintenance club, and realized i don't want to spend my life fixing other people's broken shit. i already have that job for my family :D i've been leaning towards education - teach people how to maintain/repair things themselves, and offer encouragement and tools. they get the responsibility and pride of ownership. and fwiw, wordpress is the original problem that got me here in the first place. getting wp out of my life involved writing a tiny CMS called kiki https://tomotama.com/kiki getting wp out of my life was the best move i've made in decades 😆
