Using a text client to consume the majority of my fediverse content finally cured me of the doom scroll that I'd been doing for a decade+, but that really picked up during pandemic/lockdown. That being said, if you're posting images or video without a text descriptor, I'm not bothering to load them up to see what they were. If someone provides a description & it sounds interesting, then I'll click through about 50% of the time. I don't have a disability that requires this, but it has helped tame my consumption. If you care about the few of us consuming things in this way and/or those w/disablities that rely on the descriptions, you may want to include one. If you don't, no worries, but I'm not seeing what you're laying down.
