I feel like we actually got there a whole who, at least assuming basic use and fairly conventional hardware. Getting into the command line to fix stuff been be a pain, but so is navigating the absurd hierarchy of windows settings. Assuming a computer that is already set up properly it's pretty much a seamless experience. If your mom bought a laptop with mint and just used it for regular browsing and shit she probably couldn't tell the difference.
