Like, it's easy to *summarize* Amos as a dumbass tank without empathy who'll do whatever he's told by whoever he gets convinced is right. But he doesn't express himself in a cartoonish way, we can actually see gears turn in his head no matter what comes out of his mouth, it's clearer he winds up caring about certain people in his own weird way, etc.; both the writing and Chatham's performance sell him as *human*
