@concretedog@mastodon.social @emily_s@mastodon.me.uk there are 'preferred sizes', they're closer together for smaller sizes, further spaces for larger. M5 is actually the last odd number preferred size, so M5, M6, M8 and M10 etc are preferred sizes, but M7 and M9 are not. https://standards.pizy.net/thread-standards/metric-threads/iso-262/
