My Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7 arrives today, and I have mixed feelings. On one hand, as someone who lived through all the different "feature phone" eras, I have grown increasingly tired of the endless series of monolithic black slab phones. So, because of that, I am excited to try out the foldable gimmick thing, because I am a sucker for things like that. My last LG was the V60 with the second screen, and even that was basically two black slabs stuck together. I have been watching and waiting until they made one of the foldables with a robust enough to use without immediately snapping it in half, and I'm really hoping we're here. On the other hand, I detest bloatware, and jumping from a Pixel to a Samsung phone is going to be immersing myself in a sea of apps I do not want but cannot uninstall (looking at you, fuckin' Bixby).
