@RosaCtrl@social.vivaldi.net I’m sure that’s the article that @agentultra@types.pl was subtooting. I enjoyed reading it but I disagree with the conclusion. Yes, the Go toolchain is very very good. The language still has its problems (mostly stemming from no sum types, IMO). A friend who is a Go fan tells me her biggest problem with it is the default zero initialisers. I found it to be a fun article, and 3 separate people have shared it with me directly, but I am wary that the style is making up for a lack of substance.

    @samir@mastodon.functional.computer @agentultra@types.pl I also disagree with it, I have zero interest in go, yet I don’t think the writing style means there’s a lack of substance. People is enthusiastic about things for different reasons, and there’s nothing wrong in being loud about it, or even wanting to be annoying 😄
