Hasn't taken long for the usual crowd of comfortable rightoids to sidestep the obvious political power games being played with the Massie loss and go straight to what they know best: miss the forest for the trees and call them all leftists. To listen to Tucker's position and come to the conclusion that its all just fair-weather ideology and spouting "the other side's" talking points is a phenomenal self-report and shows that Tucker's allies-turned-critics on The Right (tm) who are still riding that orange dick simply do not understand the israel-sceptical viewpoint at all. They dont get it, they dont want to get it, and they have no interest in trying to understand it because "that's just leftism" or whatever tribalistic wank they want to project on things that dont gel with their side of the aisle. I can't believe i'm whiteknighting so hard for Tucker lately, but its very easy to understand how this israel-sceptical viewpoint forms for people who aren't actually howling shitlibs just crying tears for brown people. To simplify it immensely: Tucker and people like him can see an ethnic bloc of partisans who are clearly foreign in their allegiances and priorities and who are being given lots and lots of free passes and little privileges that add up to being essentially a privelliged class, and that pisses them off. And when Tucker and people like him try to make noise about it because its obviously unfair, they're suddenly and unexpectedly attacked by everyone else in the room, making them question this bizarre response even more. To not understand this and to dismiss it as being ideologically flaccid and a victim of your own lack of conviction is, frankly, so astoundingly stupid that it's hard not to assume this guy is attacking Tucker in bad faith. Tucker's convictions are, in fact, pretty iron clad. He's a default 21st century liberal with a dislike of hypocrisy. Or at least, his persona is. He bases everything on his modern egalitarian outlook and consistently makes very, very, very reasonable arguments about holding everyone to the same standards. And this is why the whole israel thing is getting caught up in the egalitarian filter. There's absolutely nothing egalitarian about the US-Israel relationship and there's nothing consistent about the way zionists are treated by the western power structures. For someone like Tucker, who i believe to have very much stuck to his convictions, like them or not, it was simply a matter of time and exposure to the israel issue before it became something he had to apply his convictions to. As a Fox News host he'd have had to sell out his egalitarianism, or just dodge the issue. And where did he land? Well, after leaving Fox, he took the view that israel is blatantly prioritised, always deferred to, defended to the hilt whenever needed and placed on a pedestal above everything else in US politics. And this will absolutely sour a man dedicated to egalitarianism to a fault. It's not Tucker's fault that liberals see the killing of innocents as morally repugnant, no matter the security situation. Or of prioritising the wants of jews over all else as unfair and even cruel. Its not his fault that the Israel lobby is openly and gleefully celebrating the power of their wealthy donors and influence networks. You absolutely cannot accuse this man of having the principles of a fart in the wind and simply "switching sides" to go simp for libtards when his pattern recognition software has been long declared for the default liberal egalitarianism that every single normal person of every single mainstream political party holds. Dead kids? Bad. Racial vilification? Yeah thats bad. Big money in politics? Yeah probably pretty bad. Sexism? I mean, yeah okay that's bad. These are all liberal ideals that most western men hold, and even some of the less ardent racists will default back to them when pressed. Finding an actual hardcore chauvinist who won't turn to liberal-flavoured jelly under pressure is actually way harder than libtard journalists (piss be upon them) would have you believe. Tucker has just found himself on the same side of this issue as every other liberal egalitarian who is honest about their fundamental views, which unfortunately includes the leftoid whackos and commie retards too. Declaring him an ideological vagrant just flapping around in the wind and looking for an audience just reveals you to be either: A) not a liberal egalitarian, in which case i would like to know why you're carrying water so hard for Israel in particular, or B) a liberal egalitarian who throws out exceptions when it comes to jews, in which case lmao okay brother the game is up and your opinions belong in the trash.
