Apple Passwords will happily loose a login and not offer any recovery option. This bug seems to revolve around the automatic merger of two logins when both have a common TLD, but distinct subdomain. Also you have to change how one of the logins is shared through iCloud. I am not interested in reproducing it. I almost lost the second factor on of the accounts. Luckily I had a Time Machine backup of the database. Debugging distributed systems is hard. But this is entirely unacceptable.
