What does this mean in actual day to day to day terms. Will people who follow me still be able to to? Who will see my posts? Tell me as if I am five years old.

@hastingsmothman@mastodon.green @ORIOliver@newsie.social @JohanEmpa@mastodon.green Since you are asking so nicely, I'll give my understanding: Once the mastodon.cloud instance has been 'defederated' from our server, you will not be seeing any posts originating from users registered on mastodon.cloud, nor will they see yours. Reason for defederation is that the moderators on mastodon.cloud are not keeping it secure and spammer-free.
