I can’t blame Reddit mods for putting up filters or Reddit filters on suspected bots. But I can definitely blame Reddit admins for ignoring or encouraging bots for the sake of metrics.
The number of accounts I found with thousands of posts to their own profile trying to game analytics was ridiculous

Yeah. Reddit makes money, but it's unpaid workforce who have to combat bots - and their options are limited. It's crazy that this is normalized.

Reddit is trying to do something good but it ends up being even worse than it was. And 1 of the main reasons is greed.
