@chiefbongo@mastodon.social your WKD server will continue to work with existing keys, there will be no rush to turn off client support. PGP standards tend to have a very long half life!
It will get tricky though with future pqc keys. If they are gnupg compatible, it may not be possible to serve them from HKP (because only gnupg can parse them), and if they are openpgp compatible, it may not be *wise* to serve them from WKD (because gnupg may break). It’s a *mess*.

@pgpkeys@infosec.exchange does that mean we are back to the original problem of chaotic centralised management and no discovery, the same problem holding back PGP originally?
