The Mayor of London's Office has blocked the Metropolitan Police's procurement of Palantir software to aid investigation(s).... partly due to concerns about the standing of Palantir & partly as the Mayor's office believes that the Met have colluded with Palantir to avoid a clear open procurement process.
The Met call the intervention 'disappointing', many others will see this a judicious & sensible.

@ChrisMayLA6@zirk.us I may not vote Labour but I'm happy with our Mayor.

@ChrisMayLA6@zirk.us I’m going to revisit my comment of yesterday. Clearly some folks in govt can write a contract, and actually enforce it.

@ChrisMayLA6@zirk.us The MET are disappointed? So they are now The institutionally racist, misogynistic, homophobic, and disappointed Metropolitan Police. ;)

@ChrisMayLA6@zirk.us If the Met are disappointed that's a clear indicator that this was the right thing to do.
