@treknor@mastodon.radio I was listening to a couple of stations on the Yorkshire TG/Reflector and the audio was grim. Something to do with transcoding I suspect

@G8RKE@mastodon.radio exactly. the signal is a compressed audio that is encoded ..needs to be decoded, amd than it is compressed again .. not much left of the original data. what is okish is from this ICOM system to yaesu and visa versa... but it is not really good either. a weak LSB signal is more audiophile than that.
