Tbh, this sounds like it is waaaaay too complicated for 99% of my co-authors, many of whom already find GDocs to be futuristic...

These solutions may not be easy but this is where we need to push for an independent digital infrastructure ( a bit like mastodon vs. bluesky, harder, but worth the effort)
