@bougiewonderland@freeradical.zone eheh it's the magical thing of Unicode, the interpretation of the left to right and right to left property of a character. This specific parenthesis are from arabic script, there are beautiful but:
- there are coded to be aligned like arabic script, right to left.
- there are not really well known and supported by typeface designers so the glyph is not interpreted well
I am trying right now to not use those type of character to not confuse people but this one is so cool that I let it in the corpus.
I have planned to provide a filter LTR / RTL to include better both worlds.

@MoritzBrouhaha@typo.social nice! Maybe put such characters in a separate category with a sort explanation, so people know what to expect? I admit that the fact that it doesn’t show appropriately (to the right) in all situations is quite unique!
