@scott@carfree.city a short handful of months ago, Oakland switched a substantial number of pedestrian crosswalks in Rockridge/Temescal to require you to push the button to get permission to cross, even on your parallel green light. Before they just automatically activated.

@scott@carfree.city places I walk in Berkeley still have automatic crosswalks. Some of the Oakland lights do too, but wtf on these others.
