@OctaviaConAmore@cutie.city My personal flavor of autism makes selfcare difficult and hard to sustain a commitment to anything that is not a special interest. At the same time, as I was transitioning my anger with gendering and gender performance didn't get resolved, it grew more focused. I didnt want to spend months regendering my voice to satisfy other people's expectations'and to conform to another role. The whole point (well, one of the points) of transitioning was to get away from gender impersonation. Then my voice and style of speaking was also a big part of how I had masked and survived my youth as an autistic person. So I decided to do leave my voice, however awkward it can be sometimes. When I was transitioning in the ninteties in South Africa, the concept of nonbinaryness was not known to me. Now I feel I am somewhere there, nonbinary in the performative aspects of gender, and trans female on the physical side. But I don't feel inclined to really think out all the details of my identity any more.
