this morning I watched one of the parents show two of the three how to squeeze under the porch door to head back to the driveway. the third was like "nah fuck that" and plopped themselves down between the wall and my watering can

(we call the two parent wrens The Krakens, and it's been apparently the same couple since we moved in almost three years ago. they love our screened porch and are the only birds who know how to get comfortably in and out, but during the winter we have to periodically Release The Krakens if snow builds up in their door gap)
