Why #linux is not able to manage the #swap automatically ?!?!? 😭
I spend so many hours to try to understand how it's working and try to change that by hand !!!
I succeed, but whyyyyy !!!!
Is it so hard? Maybe some #distribution do it ?! Maybe you know a tool that does that ?

Thank you neitsab@mastodon.social @korreckj328@mastodon.social @funkybuddha@mastodon.green and @hkrat@chaos.social for your questions. Basically I have a TuxedoOs based on Ubuntu, with 16Go Ram and I had a swap partition of 8Go. But for time to time I ran out of memory and sometimes the computer crashed and some times one program was killed. I speng some times to add a 8Go file swap, and then another one… My expectation is: can Linux create a swap file when needed??!!! :ablobcatcry:
