@bekopharm@indieweb.social I know, right? Several decades ago I ran over an elderly couple because of that behaviour. They were strolling along the bike lane. I slowed and rang my bell. The woman stepped left into the car lane (!), the man onto the sidewalk to the right. I assumed my path was clear and built up speed again when at the last moment the woman reached over to pull her husband to her side. Apparently, I was at fault for crashing into them.
