@drj@typo.social i mean the format unifont, kissinger, unscii, prolly some others use, wikipedia page for gnu unifont mentions it if sfd doesn't count then this prolly doesn't either basically a text file that's lines of hex codepoint, colon, hex string representing the character, length depends on char width, i didn't really bother to understand, but i think it's just the data concaternated, like 8 bits wide*16 high glyph = 220 bits in hex? idk, i think it's de-facto format but i found at least 3 fonts on my system to use it, all by different people lol
