I read this CBC article a while ago about balcony solar. Then I heard that several states in the US were approving it. I realize that any such product would have to be CSA approved. But that won't happen if nobody brings the idea to their attention. I don't know enough about electrical safety to pick out likely products.

@Anne_Delong@musician.social I know a little bit because we've been running grid-tied solar under MicroFIT for 16 years. One issue is that if Hydro has to do work, and they have to shut off power (or if it's during a weather outage), it's a hazard to them if some other source is feeding into that bit of the network.
