@freakonometrics@mastodon.social This is really beautiful. I grew up with a dad who was home two weeks then gone for work for two weeks, then home again. On the day that he flew home, he'd come and pick me up at school, and we'd hold hands and catch up on our two weeks while we walked to the car. In 5th grade, a school mate saw us and teased me: "I saw you holding your dad's hand yesterday! You're a baby!" I responded "Oh! Doesn't your dad hold your hand? I'm so sorry for you!" 😂
