I'm on the last week of my #SciComm internship and one of the things I noticed about refreshing the lab's website, or perhaps more like wondered, is website maker options for science and educational purposes. Was thinking about this because the website I worked on was hosted and developed with Squarespace and all the plans included eCommerce features which the lab had no need of. On the other hand, small labs like this may not have a webmaster with enough time and experience to set up a secure website outside of these drag and drop options. I think what I'm trying to say is that I would like to learn more about accessible website making options for the dissemination of science. I have spent a couple of years on the Indie Web now and I think these are important times for folks who research and communicate science to have control websites outside these big platforms. #SciCommMusings #OpenScience
