About a year ago I tried vibe coding with Vercel and it worked until it didn't. On Tuesday I started over with Claude Code to see how it works. This morning I deployed real software from a repo that is secured by keys, instrumented to track progress, and validates email through the inbox. And I built an admin dashboard that requires third-party authentication. I was able to do this on my own without asking a single person for help. I can't tell you how liberating this is.

  • @Brilliantcrank@mastodon.social I mean, don't get me wrong — it's also unnervingly scary as well, but there's a lot here that gives me 1995 vibes all over insofar as being able to do new things, create something on your own, scratch your own itch, etc. Very empowering.

@Brilliantcrank@mastodon.social I have been building so many random tools I’ve wanted to, that I didn’t have time previously. The key is, conduct the orchestra. Don’t blindly trust. But it’s fun again.

@Brilliantcrank@mastodon.social It's absolute insanity and I'm loving building software more than I ever have before. Better software than I've ever built (by myself). I did the same a month ago and it changed everything I ever thought about "AI": https://github.com/kneath/knyle-share
