To avoid a horrible vote, Texas congress members left the state. The remaining democrats were kept under house arrest to make sure they couldn't leave. Ken Paxton tried to have all of the democrats who left the state evicted from the house. BUT the Texas Supreme Court said NO you can't kick people out for that. This is significant, because although the Texas supreme court is ruled by one party, they still made an honest decision. #politics #uspolitics https://youtu.be/kLhyAsVj8vw
