I just stumbled over this gem from @denodell : denodell.com/blog/browsers-tre… In short - if you use a browser based on Chromium, this is your doing 😂. Maybe the root cause is the super short memory of everyone. Some us remember the "Built for IE"-buttons and were working on the other side of that. But if you never lived through that ... chances are that you choose convenience over "the right choice" (tm). To me the answer is clear: the only way to stop this is to choose a browser not based on Chromium - like #Firefox.
