@vtrlx@mastodon.social Welp, just got to the conclusion and the typical gnome "software maintenance is hard, YOU do it". This is the attitude that removes features every time a toolkit gets changed (GTK2->3->4). Other projects maintain features during transitions (Qt4->5->6) because not breaking people's expectations is part of software development. Here's a related question: when does hatred of Microsoft peak? Answer: whenever they break workflows. Ex: Office ribbon, Windows 8, Windows 11.

@woltiv@mastodon.social @vtrlx@mastodon.social that's a very wide screen you appear to have here. My laptop has a 1366x768 screen resolution and I'd rather not have too many superfluous icons on my top bar
