It's not symmetrical, as I see it.
Children's rights are human rights for humans who happen to be children. Parent's rights aren't human rights for parents, they are specific different rights *as a parent*.
As such they can't be as fundamental and inherent as the human rights of children, since you can always choose not to be a parent, but you can't choose not to be a child.
