By definition, you'd only make an AI-free fork if the developers have already fallen for AI. So what would they use to write the fixes for this flood of new CVEs? Well chatbots of course. Thus, if you want to completely avoid chatbot output, you actually can't backport those fixes, but you have to reproduce the error and then write a fix from scratch, without looking at the original code. For one or two vulns, that's no big deal, but it won't scale well. And maybe that's the idea. 2/2
