@Feneric@mastodon.social I love ferrets! My younger brother used to have one, and for some reason there's a ferret breeder who often brings her ferrets along for one of the reptile trade shows here. They seem like absolutely delightful animals.
(I still don't think they look particularly dog-like. I think a bear's face looks *more* like a dog face than a ferret's does, for example!)

@datarama@hachyderm.io No argument there. A bear's facial structure is way more dog-like. Seeing a dachshund running at a distance though will make me look twice. They are indeed delightful animals. Their determination and problem-solving abilities are off the charts, and they're simultaneously playful and affectionate, one of those animals that actually seems to pay attention when you talk.
