@Drwave@mastodon.social historical as I recall. US big, back in the day they had to ship beer via train long distances and used refrigerated cars so it wouldn’t go bad, so Americans developed a preference for cold drinks generally.
Think I recall that right. Always possible I’m making stuff up

@Sonikku@techhub.social @Drwave@mastodon.social I dunno — in Thailand I recall it's pretty common to put ice in a glass of beer. Although most beer there (especially Chang) is real strong (taste and abv) and often not well refrigerated.
