@baoigheallain@mastodon.ie @baz@mastodon.scot I spent some time this morning exploring how feasible it it to run MacOS apps on Linux. At the moment the main option seems to be to load MacOS into a virtual machine. Which has suspect legality. It’s time Europe changed the rules to make doing that totally legal! And also to make engineering Mac clones legal too.

    @KimSJ@mastodon.social @baz@mastodon.scot One thing I would really miss is my email address, I've had it since they first released mac.com addresses. It's not just the legacy sign-ups - I can change them - it’s the fact in 25 years use it ‘just works’. I've set up domain name and hosting services for various friends and family over the years, and it is frustrating how often they need tinkering with. Hosts go out of business, get bought over, server addresses change, things break. Mac.com just works.
