@optozorax@mathstodon.xyz OMG „finite element method“. I remember writing a TurboPascal program at school (1990s) that would simulate the magnetic field of two metal bars. And it would look exactly like that 🤗 (except it was a pixelated 100x100 image. But hey, I wrote a TGA exporter so I could print it out for my report).
