I switched to Fedora years ago. Linux mint has been not as good for a long time.

Then there is also the issue that accessing bug fixes for software in the *Universe* repository that regular Mint inherits from Ubuntu requires Ubuntu Pro. Same BS doesn't happen with LMDE.
