one of the funny things about working in industry is how you'll see a 60+ year old contractor working on a specific machine and know that the situation is exactly "ah yes he worked at this company that made this specific kind of machine that went out of business 30 years ago but this is all he knows so he gets that bag by fixing these machines that these companies refuse to replace"
