I was going through papers and I came across the pamphlet someone handed to me outside my university’s caf that sparked me to become vegan about a decade ago. It’s basically just a standard PETA-esque pamphlet filled with gruesome photos of animals. Made me reflect on how much dumb luck went into this life decision, and how much change can happen based on the smallest actions. Sometimes, I get down or in my own head about my lack of agency. But sometimes, all someone needs is just a nudge.
