podcasts and online videos offer the option of speeding up the playback: 125%, 150%, 200% or more. so why can’t we speed up when we watch streaming tv? not talking about live-while-you-watch, that’s fine fir sports. but what about the 99% of content that is consumed after the fact, day-after, or even years-after. it’s not a technological hurdle, it’s the streamers. but why would they care how fast we consume their slop?
