@dielan@shitposter.world I put Ubuntu Touch on my old smartphone (Pixel 3a XL) (still has a headphone jack) and put a bunch of music on it. I've been using it as an improvised DAP. Works great! I have no complaints, except that the battery drains obnoxiously fast when I'm not using it, so I have to turn it off between uses to preserve battery.

@dielan@shitposter.world mp3 players are neat. people are baffled that I use one instead of my phone, but I need physical buttons and RockBox firmware.

@dielan@shitposter.world welcome to the club. It's years since I left music streaming, nowadays I get all my music through CD(that I rip with cdparanoia), Bandcamp, Ototoy(Japanese bandcamp) or pirate it mainly though soulseek
