Who's watching the Eurovision Song Contest this year? What are your opinions on the contest itself? Which songs are your favourites in 2026? I've always followed it when Hungary was still participating. And then our government said hungarian musicians deserve more than a contest which is being heavily influenced by politics, so we refused to send any contestants for a very long time now. Last year I saw Sweden's entry in a youtube shorts video. It was very funny for us hungarians because in the chorus, anyone who speaks hungarian, could easily hear swear words, even if all they did was to praise sauna :D I sent the song to my best friend and we decided to follow poor Sweden along so we watched all the semi finals and the grand final too. We enjoyed it a lot. Everything started with Sweden but then we realised we started to like more and more entries. From last year I wanted Greece to win so bad, that woman's voice is just perfect. I also liked The Netherlands, Iceland, Norway, Ireland was very cute, and well, I could continue on and on. The worst was the UK, I'm sorry. Also even if Hungary didn't participate, germans gave us some credit since the participants Abor & Tynna are originally hungarians. :) This year it's a bit more complicated because a lot of countries boycott the contest because of Israel. While I somewhat understand them, since it's very unfair; either ban all the countries at war, or don't ban anyone, that's it. So what are your favourites this year?
