what we need is to replace human-interface points of sale with an anthropomorphic robot with a complete conversational text-to-speech enabled LLM onboard, that sits integrated into a point of sale assembly, so that it may take items from shoppers to scan them and then take payment in exchange for them. they would be incredibly efficient and able to operate independently from human input, cutting down on required manpower, though they would require a dedicated team of hardware technicians, admins, and network engineers in order to properly maintain do we all understand how fucking idiotic it sounds to replace human beings with machines imitating human beings?
