Watched The Black Hole (1979) I would say 3/4 of it is actually really good and interesting. Certain aspects of it do really not hold up, but overall it's enjoyable. Even when the dialogue is "cheesy", it's still more well written than most modern stuff. Not very subtly references Christianity as well. It's insane it came out the same year as Alien. For their similarities, Alien's world feels much more fleshed out and real. For some reason in my mind Alien was more of a 1989 movie instead of 1979, a real testament to it's achievement.
