@rjw62@en.osm.town Well... I was mentioning "#SurveyNeeded" which OSMBelgium were using, but actually it turns out #surveyme is significantly more popular even within worldwide stats. SurveyNeeded has 708 over all time, 188 currently open. surveyme has 6042 over all time, 2312 currently open. With a UK bbox only 3 notes use SurveyNedeed (all open still!) versus surveyme 2881 (1124 open). Then there's people mentioning "needs survey" with a space. 1138 in the uk (292 open)

@rjw62@en.osm.town I'm counting these things using SQL queries on an sqlite database of all notes. If you like, you can download my db file here: https://harrywood.dev.openstreetmap.org/notes/notes.db (1.6 Gb). That's originally loaded in from the notes planet download (367mb XML) via a ruby script. Obviously that kind of notes planet dump processing approach could be a good way to go instead of using APIs for your tools. A bit heavyweight, but a lot lighter than working with the actual map data!

@harry_wood@en.osm.town Many thanks. Looks like the numbers aren't that large at the moment so the API should be fine for now. Interesting that there's so many #surveyme tags, as I haven't actively been promoting it.
